Sudden Death - Megadeth

Here's one of the few songs in this game that literally took me 8+ hours of grinding. I wasted so much fucking time on this song, and I'm still down 520 from UKOGmonkey.

I had plenty of problem spots throughout my grinds. I was very consistent in terms of hitting the notes up until verse 2, but it was about 50/50 whether or not I could make it that far without missing a squeeze. The 1st act is tricky to overlap the phrase and not miss the front or back end. The 2nd act is basically a double squeeze that I found myself missing the back end of for no reason.

Then we get to Verse 2, one of the most infamous sections in the game (2:28). This section is universally known as a fuck-you section because of the way this engine handles HOPO notes followed directly by a strum of the same color. It's very common that the game will register your strum on the B hopo instead of the YB chord directly after it. There's a few tricks to hitting this section: Hit all the notes as early as possible so you have some wiggle-room with the B hopo. The real trick is finding a good strumming rhythm and knowing where each Y note lands in that rhythm. The 1st Y is a down strum, 2nd is an upstrum, and 3rd is a downstrum. What I do is accentuate is every 6th strum: Accent the 1st Y, accent the YB downstrum right before the 2nd Y, then accent the 3rd Y, and you're golden. With all these methods, I was able to get like 7 FCs in a row on stream a few months back AND nearly FC this whole song in a PFO with Fingerquick.

After Verse 2, there's that weird strummy-hopo bit that usually people don't have troubles with, but for some fucking reason I would randomly miss there- frequently.

After that bit, you have the easiest activation in the entire song (and it's a double squeeze), and I FUCKING MISSED IT ON THIS RUN. -400 from that.

Then you have the actual solo, and I only really had one part that I had trouble with; that was the part from 4:00 to 4:11. The hardest part is at the end of that section, but 80 percent of the time, I would miss before that section, then hit it. 15% of the time I would combo everything before it, then miss it, and the 5% of the time I would actually hit everything. But then 90% of the time AFTER I HIT ALL OF THAT, I would miss somewhere else for no good reason other than nerves. This is the best score I could manage, and I don't really want to have to play this again- especially because I don't even know where to make up the other 120 points UKOG has. I'm guessing another note on the last act? not too sure. Kyle Ruth's path on pathhero also has a triple squeeze on the post-verse 2 activation, but that's fucking insanity and not feasible in a real run.
