The Excel Spreadsheet Template is intended to model the financial scenario for a utility-scale Solar Park. Revenues can either be assumed to originate from the sale of electricity via a fixed-price Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) or from the sale of a Renewable Energy Certificate. In addition, the model also allows for running a scenario where additional income is obtained from the sale of Carbon Credits. The Solar Farm can be built in up to 3 phases, anticipating smaller expansion investments as well.

The model calculates all the relevant financial metrics of interest to capital providers such as banks and investors and tracks the expected DCF Valuation over the project's lifetime. The model allows essential support for solar developers in analyzing the financial feasibility of their solar farm projects and preparing the relevant tables and charts, including bank ratios such as the Loan-to-Value (LTV) ratio or the Debt Service Coverage (DSCR) to be presented to banks and other investors. In addition, the model allows simulations for how flipping a project could play out or how essential changes in key value drivers might impact the project's financial returns.
