Mihir Shah, the main accused in the Worli hit-and-run case, was apprehended after a series of events and a critical mistake by a friend. After the accident, Mihir went to his girlfriend's house and was in touch with her throughout the day, making 40 phone calls. Following advice from his father, Mihir fled the city, hiding in various resorts in Thane, Murbad, and finally Virar.

The breakthrough came when Mihir's friend, Avdeep, turned on his phone for just 15 minutes, allowing police to trace their location to a resort in Virar. After a three-day manhunt, the police successfully arrested Mihir. The investigation revealed Mihir's movements and the involvement of his family and friends in helping him evade capture.
