'Some Kind of Closure' is a true crime video podcast series investigating Western Australia’s most baffling missing persons cases, uncovering the human stories behind the headlines. Season 1 'Missing in the Goldfields' focuses on the decade-long mystery of prospectors Ray and Jennie Kehlet, who vanished without a trace in the West Australian outback. What really happened? And why, after all these years, are there still more questions than answers? Join us as we dig deeper, speak with those closest to the case, and search for closure for the families involved.
A word from Ray's brother Dave...
As many of you know, I’ve spent the past several years doing everything I can to stop Ray and Jennie’s case from fading away. That’s included, somewhat reluctantly, speaking to a lot of media outlets to keep the story alive. Those one-off stories have been powerful and helped keep the momentum going — but I’ve long felt this case needs a deeper, longer-form approach to truly lay everything out.
So… over the past few months, I’ve been working closely with a documentary/podcast producer to create something that will, in time, tell the full story — what happened out there, what we know, what still doesn’t add up, and the lasting impact on everyone involved.
The podcast is called ‘Some Kind of Closure’.The goal is simple: to tell this story properly, with care and detail highlighting each key element in detail— but it’s a massive job.
If you’ve followed this page or this case, I’d be really grateful if you could:
✅ Follow or subscribe to the podcast
✅ Rate and review the trailer — it helps more than you’d think
✅ Share it with everyone on your Facebook/instagram social media feeds (this would really help)

We’ll also be releasing some short video teasers here featuring interviews with family, yours truly, Rick, professional prospectors, and locals who’ve shared their thoughts and memories and theories about the case.
Producing this podcast takes a huge amount of time, travel, and resources. Each episode takes around a month of full-time work — researching, interviewing, scripting, editing. On top of that, the producers are also filming key interviews and on-location footage, so this becomes not just a podcast, but a hybrid documentary project — its a mammoth job. The goal at this stage is to produce a 4 episode series of about 45-60 minutes in length each.
Right now, the producers have been working completely pro bono in their spare time since January To continue at the level this story deserves, we’re going to need support. Without it, we’ll have to scale things back significantly.
That said, this is a real opportunity for individuals or organisations who believe in this story to come on board and support the project. If you're in a position to help or contribute in a bigger way, please get in touch — we’d love to talk. Your support will help shine a light on this case in a way that hasn’t been done before. We will soon be offering tiered levels of membership and support through this here YouTube channel - watch this space!
We’re also looking for people to help behind the scenes — especially experienced researchers or voice actors for future episodes where we’ll be recreating parts of the coroner’s inquest. If that’s something you’re keen to be involved with, send me a message or drop a comment below.
This is truly a community-driven project, and we need your help to give it the reach and impact it deserves.
Even if you can’t contribute financially, just subscribing, rating, reviewing, and sharing the podcast can go a long way toward helping us reach more people and keep the pressure on.
The full story’s coming — and we’re not letting this go.
