Hi and welcome to the first Tokyo Cafe Hopping vlog of 2024! In this vlog, we explore the world of kissaten. This was a requested video by a subscriber and I figured that now was as good a time as any to get to it. Kissaten rose to fame during the Showa Period due to the amount of coffee that was imported, others say it was when Japanese cafe culture as we know it today started. Kissaten are a great place for solo dates or intimate hangouts. I hope that on your trip to Japan, you'll be able to visit one :)
