Then there’s “Tug of War” 🪢, a brutal test of strength where teams of 10 fight to pull the rope—losers plummet to their deaths from a high platform 📉! Friendships are forged and shattered here, as players must choose allies wisely or face annihilation 🤝→💔.
“Marbles” is next 🎲, a game where players pair up and bet their marbles—whoever loses all their marbles loses their life 😭. This round exposes raw emotions: Gi-hun lies to an elderly friend to survive, while Ali is betrayed by Sang-woo in a heart-wrenching twist 😭💔.
After a chaotic riot and a vote to end the games (which fails), the survivors return for “Glass Stepping Stones” 🔍—a bridge where each step is either tempered glass (safe) or regular glass (shatters, sending you falling to your death) 😱! Players must guess correctly or die, leading to more tragic losses 😭.
The final game is the namesake “Squid Game” 🦑, a childhood playground game where Gi-hun and Sang-woo face off in a brutal battle for the 45.6 billion won prize 🏆. As they fight, flashbacks reveal Sang-woo’s descent into greed and Gi-hun’s struggle to hold onto his humanity 🥺.
In the end, only one player walks away with the money… but victory comes at a terrible cost, leaving them haunted by the horrors they witnessed and committed 😔.
