I'll present the OSED platform: OSED is a platform that offers a highly modular EDGE DERMS. OSED allows the deployment of custom grid functions that fulfill local grid needs. The grid functions tackle well known grid problems as the power peaks produced either in normal conditions or after electricity cuts (using direct load control or demand response incentives). Moreover, OSED supports advanced grid functions like the coordination of controllable loads (like EV recharge) or even local flexibility markets (implemented using blockchain technologies). OSED deploys EDGE DERMS Coordinators who expose APIs to upper control systems, like aggregators, virtual power plants, or even utility DERMS. OSED deploys as well the building actuators and building intelligence systems that control the loads on the buildings. OSED leverages open-source projects, such as Home Assistant and EdgeX, Docker, and Kubernetes, allowing it to be cloud and hardware-agnostic. Therefore, OSED offers a fully integrated solution (from the grid until the control of the devices in buildings) to develop and test simple and advanced grid functions that can solve the real problems that utilities face nowadays.
