For POLYHARMONY, a lounge or "Downtime Salon" was created at Galerie Wedding to demonstrate how sound, light and spatial design can be used to create resonant spaces. The term "polyharmony" refers to a structure in which two or more musical harmonies sound simultaneously. Koetting reflects on various kinds of listening, where an array of multiple tones create vibrations in constant flux. In the space there are several works that co-create the atmosphere; a machine that generates drinkable water from the air, Ikebana flower arrangements, and a soundscape which consists in a defused composition and circulates in patterns of endless waiting.
The exhibition creates an atmosphere of attentiveness, showing ways to listen in different ways. Koetting's exhibition POLYHARMONY was a collaboration with the Solistenensemble Kaleidoskop.
