Food Drive: Our Happy Place | Muniba Mazari

It all started with a DRIVE , literally to do something worth while after Sir Abdul Sattar Edhi passed away and there was a general despair in the air.
Just on a whim a couple of friends decided to do something to feed our souls by feeding a few - thus "FoodDrive" was born!
Since then the FoodDrive has never stopped. The biggest challenge was to include /accept food from transgender community, we tried our best to change the mindset and we wanted people to sit down and have a meal with everyone without any gender/religion based discrimination. This food drive shows that this nation has a lot to offer in terms of love, respect, tolerance and hope. We know how to share, how to give and how to receive with gratitude!
Here's to the whole network of friends, children, family, volunteers, supporters and the ever ready group of students who all show up every time to help us feed so many. Here's hoping we keep feeding souls and the needy. All it takes is a heart and a hand ready to accept and acknowledge the less privileged!
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all your love, support and trust! The food drive would not have made it this far without you all! It's not just The Food Drive, it's the Drive for Humanity and it's the Drive for Equality.
