Welcome to my YouTube channel, "Soon Sakesar Valley by Adnan Alam Awan". Exploring the wilderness of the Soon Sakesar valley since the year 1988, the time when I started long-distance solo hiking/trekking in the valley with a focus on its magical landscape, springs/waterfalls, rich archaeology, lush green terraces, dense mixed jungles/forests, sanctuaries of wildlife, pre-historic sites, ancient history, unique culture and much more absolutely unexplored. Come join me in my solo treks and later on group adventures that i started after the formation of a hiking group, i.e. "HAS" during 2016. I am in deep love with my motherland geographically part of the Central Salt Range. Naushahra is the central town of the valley and Sakesar is the highest peak of the Salt Range (Elevation: 4992 ft/1522 m, Coordinates: 32.542263° 71.933610°).

After my long solo adventures in the valley from 1988 to 2015, finally during July-2016, i organized a group of nature lovers in the soon valley to promote Hiking & Trekking activities. From 2016 to 2024, “HAS” organized a total 41 treks in the unexplored areas of the valley. The awareness about the archaeological sites was already started since 2011 in the form of a website and through this group.

For Hiking/Trekking adventures, the landscapes and terrain of Soon Sakesar valley invite both beginners and professionals. You may plan a one-day trip in most of the areas, and some areas require multiple days to further explore deep in the wilderness, but after each well-organized adventure, you will come back from this peaceful valley with the memories that will remain asset for the rest of your life. There are routes where you will cross the peaks, villages and Dhoks, and there are jungles/wild areas where you will not find anyone to guide u on the right trek. Therefore, before planning any adventure trip, you must be clear about the routes and necessities of travel, e.g. water, food, a first aid box, maps, etc. Hiking in soon valley is quite different as compared to high mountain areas in Pakistan in many aspects, e.g., If u r on a trek, while moving, u may come across multiple treks leading in different directions; sometimes it becomes difficult or confusing, which one to follow,,, but the adventure is on,,,,,,,,come join & let’s explore the landscape and wilderness of Soon Sakesar valley.
