KTM | Riding the Jungle Railway - Part 2 | Ekspres Rakyat Timuran - JB Sentral to Tumpat

Part 2 of the 2 part video report of my recent trip on Train No. 26 - Ekspres Rakyat Timuran from JB Sentral to Tumpat.

This video covers the journey from Kuala Lipis station in the state of Pahang to our destination - Tumpat in the north eastern state of Kelantan.

The Ekspres Rakyat Timuran is currently the only overnight train with sleeper accommodation on the KTM network and covers the 723 km journey from JB Sentral to Tumpat in just over 17 hours.

On the way it passes through some spectacular scenery, including forests, viaducts, bridges and tunnels.

Enjoy the experience of riding on board the train, including a view of the ADNS sleeper coaches, ASC Superior Class and AC Premier Class chair car coaches as well as the Cafe Car.

With the impending introduction of the Diesel Multiple Unit trainset on the route, the days of the old world locomotive hauled passenger trains are numbered, so now is the best time to experience this train.
