This post is not new, but I just picked up by BYD, and trying to side loading some apps.
Step 1: Format USB drive with FAT32
Step 2: Create a folder called "third party apps" (need to be exact case, no quotes)
Step 3: copy .apk files you want to sideload into the folder
Step 4: Turn on the car
Step 5: plug in the USB drive to your usb A slot
Step 6: enter the password 'BYD6125F'

Note:
V1.7 13.1.XX.2310 - Sideload function not longer possible
V1.6.1: GHY0613byd
V1.5/V1.6: BYD6125F
pre-V1.5: 20211231
