What to wear to the gym

Welcome to fat over 40 my names Miles and in this episode we are going to look at what to wear when you are going to the gym now if your new to the channel please subscribe there is a new film every single Friday and if you like what you see then please give us a thumbs up I really appreciate your support but more importantly get involved and comment down below
Now if your new to exercising you might be wondering what to wear and I guess it does not really matter what you wear you know if your going to take your weight loss and your new lifestyle seriously then invest in some kit to get you there to make you feel good when you goto the gym
So lets have a look at what to wear first of all lets start off from the ground up
And the first place to start is with your footwear now there are different types of trainers out there and I’d recommend that you get yourself a good training shoe and a good training shoe is going to be a lot flatter a lot broader and give you a lot more support for that lateral side to side motion after all the most popular shoes out there are running shoes and they are designed for like a linear motion with very little support for the side to side movement so get yourself a pair of training shoes next up the body socks it does not really matter I guess what kind of socks you get just get yourself a pair of sports socks but if your going to do weight training and be doing deadlifting then maybe you want to invest in a pair of long socks because let me tell you you keep that bar close to your shins you are going to tear them up
Now when it comes to shorts you can wear leggings if you like especially in the winter if you want to keep a little bit warmer but I always wear a pair of under shorts and the main reason I wear a pair of under shorts is to stop anything embarrassing popping out of my over shorts when I’m stretching or warming up yeah so it’s a top tip a good pair of lycra under shorts is really important obviously your over shorts and then I wear two tops I wear a compression top and an over top now I’m not deluded enough to think I would benefit from wearing a compression top with my level of exercising but why do I wear two tops well I wear a compression top to hold my gut in and I wear an over top so you can see just in case my first top slips off it’s really a vanity thing I am still quite self conscious about my belly and about my size the last thing I take to the gym is a towel if I forget my towel I normal have got the hump because let me tell you I sweat like a pig so having a towel to wipe myself down and wipe the equipment down id really important
Now if your committed if your serious about your new lifestyle and exercising and getting healthier then what I would recommend is maybe when you set yourself your next goal when you hit your target reward yourself with a new bit of kit putting on that new shirt will give you a real lift when you got the gym next time
So if you make one change this week get yourself some kit so you don’t die fat
