The Watch: Terry Pratchett’s Discworld, but it’s Cyberpunk

At NYCC, audiences were treated to The Watch; BBC’s new adaptation of Terry Pratchett’s Discworld!
It was launched with great fanfare, but they have taken the Medival-inspired phantasy in a Cyberpunk direction that neither the fans, Neil Gaiman or Rhianna Pratchett appear to be exited for.
Bounding into comics took the temperature on the social media response, and if their findings is anything to go by, Pratchett fans would do well to temper their expectations.
In this editorial, @AndreEinherjar will begin by briefly going through what Discworld is, what it means to him, what the negative response from the fanbase is all about, and finally, if there is still hope.
