Testimony behind this song :
When things happen in life, we often do not know the underlying meaning and this was one of those situations. On November 28th 2020, God gave me a song. He gave me this song and in fact told me how it should be arranged. I absolutely had no idea why and after debating internally, I concluded that “this is about Christ’s resurrection so let me leave it for March or April”. I obviously thought it would be apt for the period so I just put this aside and focused on other projects that required my immediate attention.

On January 2nd this year, my dad had a mild stroke (TIA). We wanted to provide him with the best healthcare possible so we took him to a hospital where he started treatments. It didn’t get better. At the hospital, when his condition wasn’t improving, they suggested and started treating other neurological problems. We were told his lung was damaged and he subsequently started feeding through a tube. As the days went by, he had to be put on ventilator support because his body and organs weren’t getting required oxygen.

Sometime last week, God nudged and reminded me about the song he gave me. He told me to complete this song regardless of everything bothering me so I heeded, prayed and finished the music and then recorded the vocals to this song in the studio with Sis. Cathrine.

Today, it is 95 days and daily, the pain increases. On a deep introspection, I realised that “God is giving my dad one more chance to accept Jesus”. Every time it becomes increasingly difficult for him to breathe and swallow even his own saliva, we take him to the hospital for bronchoscopy to help save him and ease the pain.

His organs are failing and with an incredibly sad heart, I put all my faith in God and dedicate this song to my father Dr.D.Samuel Jeyakumar, an affirmation that my father will be in “Heaven”.

This song is also dedicated to the Late Rev. Sam Kamaleson (Original Singer of this song) who went to rest with the Lord last month. I really would have love to have him listen to this because I was inspired to do this version by his voice and the old recording but God’s ways are not man’s.

I hope this song inspires and speaks something to you as it did with me.

Do share this song if it blesses you! God bless you.

Stephen Jebakumar
