I build a planetary gear in this video, specifically a split ring compound planet epicyclic gear. This type of gearbox uses planetary gear as a first stage and a second stage. Every time the first stage planets make a full revolution, the second stage rotates 3 teeth. (In my case)
This type of gearbox is very compact and has high torque. Such a gearbox could be used in a robot arm, for example.
