This is our 2nd lap of Australia, in our 80 series Landcruiser, taking the route through Mt Wilson, Lightning Ridge, Mt Moffatt and Long Reach, to far northern Queensland and Cape York,, through the challenging Old Telegraph Track ( "OTT" ). After reaching the Northern-most point of Australia ( the "TIP" ), our second time, we also crossed the deep and rocky Pascoe River on the way to the eastern coast of Cape York.

Forgetting to lock in LOW Range twice, along the OTT, caused some amount of grief, and probably the cause of a front wheel bearing collapse some 700Km later, inside the Lorella Springs Station, south of the Gulf of Carpentaria.

Upon fixing the mechanical problem, after waiting for a week in a nearby ( 180 Km away ) fishing community of Borroloola, there was just barely enough time to rush to Mt Dare for a rendezvous with a group form Sydney for crossing the Simpson Desert.

Followed by a hiking visit to the beautiful Carnarvon Gorge, Central Queensland.
