Pentecost river | Digger’s Rest | Gibb River Road | Kimberley

Attention travelers: Discover the best free camping spot ever! Imagine this: a private riverside campsite on the Pentecost River with your nearest neighbor at least 100 meters away. Picture a blue sky, clear water, and an orange escarpment in the background. The only downside is that swimming in this inviting river is off-limits due to both freshwater and estuarine crocodiles. We spent a few nights here before moving on to Digger’s Rest, a station near Wyndham on the King River. Once again, we found a secluded campsite where we relaxed and observed the wildlife for a few days.
