SHER SHAH SURI – FARID KHAN (1540 - 1545)
Founder of Suri Empire- Capital at Sasaram (Bihar)- Earlier he started his service under Bahar Khan Lohani (Mughal Governor of Bengal)
Also became regent of minor King Jalal Khan Lohani.
He fought two battles against Humayun at Chausa (on Banks of Ganga near Buxar) in 1539 and at Kannauj (200 kms East of Agra) in 1540 and defeated Humayun.
