In this video, we show you how to disassemble and reassemble the drum shoe parking brake on your Toyota or Lexus SUV or Truck with rear disk brakes.

There's two primary reasons why you would need to perform this job. One reason is you accidentally left your parking brake on and went driving wearing down the shoes. Another reason is you need to pull the rear axle(s) for some reason like replacing an axle seal or replacing an axle bearing, and the parking brake needs to be disassembled in order for the axle to come out.
