Blue Envelope Program - San Diego County Sheriff's Department

The San Diego County Sheriff's Department is teaming up with the County of San Diego, as well as our local law enforcement and community partners, to introduce the Blue Envelope Program.

This new initiative will promote inclusivity and serve as an enhanced communication awareness tool between law enforcement agencies and community members diagnosed with a condition or disability that might require additional accommodations or awareness.

Individuals displaying one of several items with the Blue Envelope Program logo (such as an envelope, bracelet, lanyard, seat belt cover or button) will let members of law enforcement know they will require additional accommodations or assistance during a service call or emergency.

This new program will provide another resource law enforcement agencies can use to connect with those we are sworn to protect, especially individuals with communication issues or medical conditions.
