The fifth victim and survivor of the Golden State Killer, Jane
Carson-Sandler, has faced fear and evil. She was raped in her own home while her three year old son was lying beside her, and the Golden State Killer went on to rape 50 women and murder twelve people. With raw emotion, Jane's Talk entails how she not only survived the ordeal and the ensuing years of personal loss, addiction, and depression, but came to understand how to use her experience to not remain a victim, or simply a survivor, but to help herself, and others, learn to be thrivers in life, no matter what life puts in your way.
Jane is the author of Frozen in Fear, A True Story of Surviving the Shadow of Death, that details her story and her path to renewal.
As an epilogue to the story, in April 2018 Joseph James DeAngelo, the Golden State Killer, was finally arrested and Jane returned to California to face him in court. And to show him that she is thriving once again, overcoming the evil that he spread in California
