Inspection score not 'well done' at San Benito steakhouse

Xavier's Steakhouse scored 47 demerits on a health inspection report.
The restaurant on 165 West Business 77 only improved by a single demerit on a re-inspection with 46.
The initial reports were done at the end of February.
An inspector found off-temperature eggs, salsa and caldo.
Some of those questionable food temps were off by nearly 35 degrees.
There were also cross-contamination violations and dirty equipment.
Things finally improved in the kitchen on a third city check-up.
