Merry Rehab & Special Care Unit welcomes first residents! 🎉🐎

After many months of hard work and building teams on site, we're over the moon to announce that the Merry Rehabilitation & Special Care Unit is nearing finished and is ready to welcome it's first residents! 💚

The unit includes five stable blocks as well as storage and treatment rooms and will serve as accommodation for our equines as well as a dedicated area for other animals who require specialised care.

Today we officially opened the unit and our lucky pony Poppy and pig Rodney got the VIP treatment as the first residents to test it out! 💚

Our lucky horses and ponies now have a stable each to call their own, while the treatment room provides the perfect area to quarantine new arrivals or house existing residents while we check them over.

The final stage will be to install lighting in the building and fit the entrance gates, which will allow the whole area to be separated from the main yard to ensure sick animals are left undisturbed. Some of this will be completed before Christmas.
