What struck me the most about Squid Game wasn’t just the story, but the incredible art direction. I was captivated by the clash between a brutal, violent style and those childlike elements that run through the entire series. That same contrast is also mirrored in the soundtrack.

Two tracks in particular—Unfolded and So It Goes—really fascinated me. The way a simple piano melody slowly gets engulfed by the full orchestra felt so powerful and haunting. Inspired by that, I decided to create my own version: slower, two semitones lower, to make it even darker in mood.

What started as a faithful remake turned into something different—I couldn’t choose between the two approaches, so I ended up blending together the parts I loved most from each.
