Roda del Mundo III: Gipsy Serbia • First Meeting

Marian Mexicanu’, one of Romania’s finest accordionists, invited his Serbian counterpart, Aca Nikolić Čergar, to step into the Balkan Lions Arena. It was a clash of mastery and a celebration of camaraderie.

Each artist arrived with an outstanding ensemble of Romanian and Serbian folk musicians at their side. For the first time ever, they met and played together in this powerful lineup at Roda del Mundo III: Gipsy Serbia—a true Meeting of Legends.

Roda del Mundo is a concept initiated by Șaraimanic where free musicians from different cultures sing together, around a table, in the middle of people. Usually, they meet just during the soundcheck and their performance is pure improvisation.
