Skiing in Park City is magical, especially at sunset with a crew of amazing friends. In 2012 the Char Poles Crew descended on Kings Crown terrain park at Park City Mountain Resort for a sunset jump shoot with our first athlete, Ian Hamilton. The brand was new and the whole experience was mind-blowing for all of us. There was a beautiful sunset, we had a huge jump to ourselves, and Ian threw some insane tricks. Cole Sax and the rest of the film crew documented the night and created this otherworldly video. We also shot our first magazine photos with help from Rocky Maloney and Blake Peterson. It was a formative night for the company, we saw a glimpse of the epic things that were possible with the right combination of friends and talent. Now 4 years later Ian is still on board both as an athlete and our VP of marketing. Both the brand and the Char Pole has come a long way. After moving away from Chinese production the Char Pole 2 is 100% built and assembled in Salt Lake City Utah. This allows us to control every part of production, from plastic molding to carbon fiber sourcing. It has changed how Char does business for the better.
