Tamil Nadu Hooch Tragedy | A hooch tragedy in Tamil Nadu's Kallakurichi district resulted in at least 34 deaths and 60 hospitalizations from consuming spurious liquor containing poisonous methanol. Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin expressed shock and ordered the suspension of the Kallakurichi SP and transfer of the district collector. Additionally, 10 police officers were suspended, and a CB-CID inquiry was initiated. Police seized 900 liters of spurious liquor and arrested a bootlegger on charges of selling illicit arrack. Chinnadurai, who allegedly sold methanol to the accused, is also under investigation, according to reports. Watch the video for more.
