We spend the afternoon at the beautiful Huntington Gardens, Library and Art Gallery in Pasadena, CA. They are offering a summer program on certain Saturday Evenings -- Stroll Through the Gardens! With the ticket and reservation to the event, you can enter the gardens starting at 4:30 pm - with the gardens closing to the public at 5pm, but open to the "strollers" until 8:30pm! They also keep their food pavilion - 1919 - open after hours as well! We spend the time roaming around the Japanese and Chinese Gardens - both unbelievably zen places to spend a Saturday evening! We almost make a wrong turn in the bamboo jungle, but my direction instinct kicks in just in time. We end the night with an iced cold delicious green tea on the patio!
