“Sanvaadha”- Android APP for Deaf

• Listening, Thinking and Responding are essential for an effective communication.
• Differences in Listening will affect Thinking and Responding.
• “Sanvaadha” is an android application to translate pictures and signs into words and sentences and also to translate words and sentences into pictures.
• “Sanvaadha” can used to replace a sign language interpreter. It could be used as a bridge between 400,000 deaf and hearing impaired people in Sri Lanka and others through effective communication.

• An Android application which replaces a sign language interpreter. A sign language interpreter appears on the mobile screen and responds to words and sentences keyed in.
• This will help reduce the communication gap prevailing among deaf and hearing impaired, numbering about 400,000 in Sri Lanka, and between the deaf and hearing impaired and the normal community. It will also widen the communication scope of the deaf and hearing-impaired community, by allowing them to communicate with a large number including foreigners.
