Echo Rock via Spray Park, Mount Rainier - Washington State

Echo Rock is a 7,862 foot tall volcanic rock outcropping on the north side of Mt Rainier. To get there you traverse stunning alpine meadows filled with wildflowers and up onto glaciers. Bears, and many other wild creatures make this wonderland their home and remind you that we are only visitors. The only reasonable route to the summit is from the south. It is strewn with loose rock and pumice and is a class 2-3 scramble. This is one of the best viewpoints within the entire Mt Rainier National Park and a great destination for those who wish to experience an area that is less traveled.
