The City of Cape Town is seeking more policing powers for its Metro Police given the drop in South African Police Service personnel and vehicles in the city, while the number of officers deployed by the City of Cape Town has seen an increase. Lester Kiewit speaks to Geordin Hill-Lewis, Executive Mayor for the City of Cape Town, about how he is lobbying for the devolution of policing powers to metros.
