I Felt The Strongest Urge I Think I Have Ever Felt From The Spirit To Call My Mom...

Growing up Stephens Dad seemed to have a lot of unfortunate health issues, but he would always pull through! This gave Stephen comfort when his dad began to get sick while he started to serve a mission for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

While Stephen was in training at home his father's health declined so much that he had to be hospitalized. Stephen felt like his only option was to turn to prayer, after his prayer there was an overwhelming feeling of peace.

Stephen flew out to Arkansas and started missionary work and only 4 days after being out his mom let him know that his dad had crashed pretty hard in the hospital. After a couple goodbyes over the phone, Stephen just kept doing missionary work.

Stephen was at a service project and got the strongest feeling from the spirit to call his mom. It wasn't 30 seconds after his dad had passed away that his mom answered the phone. Stephen said a prayer with his mom and prayed as he had never prayed before.

Stephen was able to fly home for the funeral and spend time with his family, but he then came back out to Arkansas and carried on doing missionary work. Stephen had every excuse to stay home but choose to come back out so he could help others know that this isn't the end, that our families can be together forever, and that God cares about every one of us.
