The history of glass - timeline and inventions

In this film I have talked about all the discoveries that have influenced the manufacture of glass from ancient times, to the present day. In bronze age were common glass beads, and vessels of glass appeared much later, during the reign of Thutmose III in Egypt. In the roman period were invented the glass blowing technique, the first glass bottles, and the first window panes.

In the middle ages were invented the forest glass and the eye glasses. In the modern period were invented the lead oxide glass, the tempered glass, the bulletproof glass, and the fluoride glass. People started to use glass as a building material, and the quality of mirrors was improved.
