Composition by Daniel Alvarez. This song was part of the "Jazz at the Hill" concert held at College Hill United Methodust Church. This a very rare "Jazz" composition. Essentially in 6/8, drums are accenting dotted quarter notes. However, the Bass line goes in 3, playing three quarter notes per measure. Against all that, the melody is always one eighth note behind. This is the essence of a folk style named "Guarania", which to my knowledge, hasn't been jazzed up much yet.
