First, that stupid, tricksy hobbit stole it, yes, and lost it in the Prancing Pony... then some fat Breelander, sneaky thief, took it from under my nose. Curse them, curse them all! We were so close, so close to reclaiming my precious, but no... no, the stinking, brutish Dunlanders snatched it away!

They don't know what they have. They don't understand! GOLLUM! They'll take it to the Dark Lord, yes, yesss... or worse, the White Wizard will find it. GOLLUM, GOLLUM! Either way, we must follow, mustn't we, precious? We must take it back. Yesss... before it's too late...
