Before I set out to build my first bicycle frameset, i thought I'd practice on something smaller:

I found this old rusty Bianchi frame laying on the street a few years ago and now I found a good way to practice my welds.

My theory: If this tiny frame can hold my weight, then a actual bike should be able to do the same. Plus this way I don't waste money on material
