Planet Neo Plays // Let's Play // Fractured Minds

I've wanted to play this game for a while now, and originally scheduled this for the beginning of May (Mental Health Awareness Month) but sadly my own mental health issues prevented that from happening. But here it is, finally!

This game is designed by Emily Mitchell, a British Game Designer, and it explores different aspects of mental health and how everyday tasks and situations are affected by mental health issues.

For some, myself included, the most basic of daily tasks and routines can become quite daunting and often challenging when you're struggling with such things as paranoia, anxieties and self doubt.

While a short game, I think this game captures perfectly what mental health is for me, and what I go through. Especially the Paranoia stage. The final part, Monster, was quite powerful for me also, because of that nagging self hate we have sometimes that often drags us down into dark places. This was an emotional rollercoaster and at times, a self reflection of my own insecurities.

Fractured Minds is well thought out and put together beautifully, and any game that can bring home the reality of what you feel inside so perfectly, to the point that this experience did for me, is definitely worth my time and I am so glad I decided to give this a go.

The Planet Neo Let's Play Series brings a different game each time for a "one off" offering of gameplay, however, if I enjoy the game during the initial try-out, it may well be brought back for an extended playthrough.

Every Let's Play will be my first time ever playing each selected title.

This channel is my adventure into gaming and a dedication to other content creators that I myself enjoy watching. I find video games, whether you're playing or just simply watching can help with stress, anxieties and mental health issues.

I will be playing a HUGE array of video games, I have over 500 currently, many of which I have never played before, so this is an exciting challenge for me to undertake, also quite daunting to be honest, so please be patient :]
