Influential chess master and author Aron Nimzowitsch did a lot to contribute to chess theory. He put his ideas into the groundbreaking book 'My System' which spelled out the important elements to consider during a chess game.

He also brought the Opening 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 e6 3.Nc3 Bb4 to the highest levels which now bares his name, the Nimzo-Indian Defense.
