Communities and People from Ealing Road after Covid.

How often do we buy clothes, visit restaurants or shops in one of the numerous shops along the famous Ealing Road in the heart of Wembley connecting Wembley Central and Alperton Stations? Don’t we all want to know the stories of the people behind those well-stocked and multifaceted businesses and exciting community centres? Or find out, what the connections are between Ealing Road and the South Asian centres Mumbai, Kathmandu, Colombo, Dhaka, Kabul, Lahore or any other region in the world? Or, did one ever listen to the unusual sounds we encounter along this busy road?

Towards the end of the Covid Crisis in 2022 two art producers visit 100 people working, shopping and living along Ealing Road. They want to know about their life and how employees, residents, students, entrepreneurs, customers, community and arts organisations and artists have been affected by the pandemic, personally or with their businesses and what they expect from their future.

From these encounters a series of photographs, numerous audio interviews and footage for a short film are taken and artistically presented in an upcoming exhibition and events series (online and onsite) in the London Borough of Brent.
