Описание к видео The Effects of Being Scared: Montaigne on Fear

We all have felt fear in our lives (I think that’s a fair assumption). But usually, when we are in those moments of intense fear, we don’t really take notice of what’s happening to us and our experiences. In this video, we look at the French Renaissance Philosopher Michel de Montaigne’s essay “Of Fear” and different considerations he noticed about fear. Although Montaigne doesn’t offer many remedies in this specific essay, acknowledging these different effects of fear may help us uncover what might practically help us address our fear.
