How to be a plumber EP#1 Odd Jobs!

This series will hopefully show you as a viewer what it’s like to be a plumbing and heating engineer and what goes on the jobs.

in this episode i was finding a leak in the kitchen, i had to cut the back out of the cupboard to find the leak, repair and turn the water back on to test. found a pinhole in the pipe, cut the section out and repaired with copper soldered fittings.

at the same job i had to rewasher a tap, this job is a plumbers bread and butter. its probably the first job a plumber learns to fix. take apart the tap, grind a new seat into the tap and fit a new washer while greesing up the internals.

just as i was finishing up the customer ased while i was here, to look at a radiator that was not getting hot, the trv valve was stuck so a simple tap of the hammer on the pin released and was able to let heat back into the radiator.

the lady was so happy with the extra work i did i got a tip which was very kind!
