Julia: An Incredible Pig

March 3, 2019 marks one year since Julia pig’s passing. It took us a full year to produce this video, because, truthfully, we were in mourning. Each animal at Farm Sanctuary is beloved, but Julia holds a special place in our hearts.

This is a true story, and the truth of animal agricultural can be ugly: Pregnant Julia had been kicked, electrocuted, and dragged by her ears at an Upstate NY pork farm until a worker blew the whistle. Just hours after her rescue by Farm Sanctuary, gave birth to 17 piglets.
