Juicy Turkeyrecipe
Materials Needed
Materials needed: Turkey, turkey injector, thermometer, Seasonings, Butter. Seasonings of choice, cheesecloth.
Dominidenn seasoning blend: Chicken Bouillon. Sazon. Smoked Paprika. (Cumin, coriander, turmeric, curry) cayenne pepper. Black pepper. Onion powder. Chili pepper flakes (optional)
Herbs: Thyme, cilantro, rosemary, ginger, garlic, habanero pepper.
Prep Work
Combine 2lbs of softened butter with:
Chopped: Thyme, cilantro, rosemary, Domnidenn seasoning blend
Blended green seasoning (for moisture):
Thyme, cilantro, rosemary, ginger, garlic, habanero pepper, oil, peppercorns, cloves.
Stuffing ingredients:
Onions, Celery, Carrots, Bell peppers, whole, Thyme, cilantro, rosemary
Blended green seasonings,
Oil
Turkey Bed ingredients:
Onions, Celery, Carrots, Bell peppers, Thyme, cilantro, rosemary.
Butter compound
2lbs of butter
Scallions
Dominidenn seasoning blend
Instructions:
Step1: Dry Brine
Dry Brine turkey for 24hrs (do not exceed 24hrs)
Step2: Prepare the Turkey
Remove turkey from the fridge after 24 hours
Gently separate the skin from the turkey without tearing it
Ensure turkey is completely dry
Apply butter compound all over the turkey (do not melt butter)
Step3: Prepare the turkey bed
Layer the bottom of your roasting pan with the turkey bed ingredients (onions, celery, carrots, bell peppers, herbs).
Place the turkey on top of the bed to allow moisture to flow during cooking
Baking Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 450°F.
Cook for 15 minutes per pound. Example: For an 18–22 lb turkey, bake for approximately 4.5 hours.
Roast the turkey uncovered for the first hour, basting every 30 minutes.
Melt any leftover butter compound and soak a cheesecloth in it.
After the first hour, cover the turkey with the butter-soaked cheesecloth. Leave the cheesecloth on until the turkey is done.
Continue basting to keep the turkey moist.
Temperature check:
Continuously check the internal temperature using a thermometer. The turkey is done when it reaches 160°F internally.
