According to officials, the decision was taken after 'considering the gravity of the situation' in Tripura. On August 28, authorities confirmed the loss of 30 lives, following the devastating floods triggered by heavy rainfall. 53,356 people have found shelter in 369 relief camps set up by the government after the destructive floods.
