Railroad Crossings Tank Trains is finally here! Tank trains are one of the types of freight transport that we can see on our tracks. Tank trains mainly transport light petroleum products such as gasoline, aviation gasoline, diesel oil as well as heavy raw materials and petroleum products such as crude oil, heavy heating oils, lubricating or engine oils. Products and raw materials transported in tank wagons are very often very dangerous, so the construction of tanks must meet the appropriate requirements.

Tank wagons in which petroleum products are transported are from 12 to 18 meters long and weigh up to 80 tons, however, on some railway routes, tank wagons with a gross weight of 90 tons are also allowed. Tanks have a capacity of 60 to 86 m3. Total length of the train with tanks is 600 meters + locomotive.
