Huffman high school senior, Maurice Teron is ready to go out into the real-world helping people in Birmingham remodel their homes.

"If they want to remodel, new kitchen, new bathroom, they can just come to me. Because from Mr. Dean, I have learned every aspect of a home,” Teron said.

It all started for him in 2021. He was among Jacques Dean's original construction class who built this first tiny home for a North Carolina family.

“Throughout the years of building more and more tiny houses, I've built my confidence up to like I could really mentor other or younger students to help them get better at the project,” Teron said.

With more confidence comes faster pace. It only took them three months to finish this third tiny house for a widow in Virginia.

"When I saw it leave, I was just proud, proud of the work that we were able to accomplish,” Teron said.
