I didn't love Deadpool & Wolverine

But I still liked it. It's complicated

This is my review of Deadpool & Wolverine, so it's just my opinion. If you feel differently, feel free to leave a comment!

Other things I didn’t mention in the video:
• The CGI is inconsistent and SOMETIMES noticeable. I usually don’t notice bad CGI, but it’s a minor problem in this movie, there's one bit in particular in the first act that was really noticeably fake-looking
• I wish Wolverine got a cooler “reveal” introduction in the way the Spider-Men got in No Way Home. The movie is clearly made under the assumption everybody knows Wolverine is in it, which is fine, but as a result, we lose that moment.
• Maybe it was just my theater’s crowd, but there were a ton of moments where the movie clearly expected us to clap and cheer, and no one did, which just resulted in some awkward moments of waiting for the movie to catch up. I hope you got a more lively audience!
• [SPOILERS] I vaguely alluded to these in the video, but some of the “contrived” moments I was talking about were when Logan talks Cassandra Nova out of killing them by appealing to her emotions, and the borderline “power of friendship” ending.
• Obviously to reiterate, the movie is hilarious and thoroughly entertaining, it’s just also quite flawed IMO. It worries me that the foreseeable future of the MCU may be a glorified fanservice-cameofest. I feel like they may have already exhausted the compelling storytelling potential of the multiverse unless they're willing to get creative.
