Green Zebra Passionfruit Gose-style Ale

Green Zebra Passionfruit Gose-Style Ale from Founders was a gift beer from ‪@ABeerADayWithTK‬ I have had the original Green Zebra before and quite liked it. I am also a big fan of Founders beers so I was excited to try this one out. The beer poured out more cloudy than I expected but was still a lighter yellow color with about half a pinky's worth of white head. The smell was fruity but also had a manufactured candy fake smell as well. The beer was light bodied with a nice tartness to it and a little hint of salt. The initial flavors were fruity but were followed by that manufactured fake candy flavor that I was picking up on the nose. The flavor was reminiscent of cheap, generic candy. Something like the Wish version of runts. That powdery artificial flavor almost like aspartame. Unfortunately this was not it. I was very disappointed in this beer as I usually love Founders beers.
