Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the ARB Eye Bolt Tie-Down kit. This is going to be a set of four eye bolts tie-downs that are designed to use with your ARB BASE Rack. It's gonna be very versatile. You can put it all around the rack to create anchor points for your straps. Let's take a look at some of their features right here.

If you're getting an ARB BASE Rack and you're planning on strapping down anything to it, I highly recommend grabbing a set of these. The only reason you wouldn't grab a set of these is if you get the eye bolt starter kit instead, which will have your four eye bolts as well as a quick anchor bolt. Now, I like these just because, let's say I'm carrying around this big cargo bag, and once I throw it onto the rack, I now have to strap it down. With these, I can just put them anywhere on the track that makes sense, and then twist to secure. The perks of putting it wherever you want means that for different types of cargo, different types of load, it makes it a lot easier to adjust.

In fact, if you have it already secured on your rack and you find maybe you want a closer fit to just better secure the cargo bag, it's simply a matter of loosening it a bit, sliding it over, and then tightening it back down. I like to use this with cam buckle straps. I currently have a pair of etrailer Cam Buckle Straps. You can find that here on our website. Very useful, pretty affordable.

But you can also use this with your own ratchet straps. Since this is a circle, you can use your hooks from those straps and just hook them into that anchor point. These have a lashing capacity of 440 pounds, a number most useful when you're using those heavy-duty ratchet straps. And what this is made of is you have forged steel for the eyelets. That's how you have that heavy-duty capacity.

But then you also have aluminum powder coated clamps, so that clamp material is gonna match the material of your ARB BASE Rack, everything working together so that if you do leave this on your rack, it is okay. That aluminum is gonna be corrosion proof. As you're getting your ARB BASE Rack, I highly recommend getting some tie-downs as well.
